Registration is open for the fourteenth edition of Galicia's biggest International Tournament — 13,000€ in prizes and 9 rounds of top-level chess await.

Registration is now open for the XIV International Tournament Ciudad de Pontevedra, taking place from July 24 to 30, 2026, at the Pontevedra University Sports Pavilion. Another edition of one of the most prestigious chess tournaments in northwestern Spain.
Groups and categories
The tournament is structured into two competition groups:
- Group A (Master): open to all players with a valid federation license, with no rating limit. Rated for FIDE norms and FIDE ELO.
- Group B (Amateur): for players with a FIDE rating under 2000. Featuring special categories for age, gender, and veterans (+60).
